Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 July 2026
PassPilot Education Pvt. Ltd. ("we", "our", "PassPilot") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
1. Information we collect
Account information (name, email, phone, hashed password). Payment information (last 4 digits, brand, billing address — never the full card). Test activity (answers, time spent, scores, feedback, audio recordings for audio questions). Usage data (anonymous analytics to improve the platform).
2. How we use your information
To create and manage your account. To deliver the practice tests and feedback you request. To process payments and issue refunds. To send service updates and (if you opt in) marketing emails. To improve our content, scoring, and user experience. To prevent fraud and abuse.
3. Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with payment processors (Paddle, Stripe), email providers, hosting providers, and law enforcement when required by law.
4. Your rights
You can access and download your data, correct inaccurate data, delete your account, opt out of marketing emails, and request a copy of all data we hold on you.
5. Data retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
6. Security
We use industry-standard encryption (TLS 1.2+) for data in transit, encrypted storage for sensitive data, and strict access controls. No system is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your data.
7. International transfers
PassPilot is operated from Australia (NSW). Some service providers (AI grading, payment processing, hosting) may process data in other countries. When we transfer personal information outside Australia, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is treated in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Where required, we rely on contractual safeguards or the recipient country is covered by an adequacy decision.
8. Your rights under the Privacy Act
Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to: (a) request access to the personal information we hold about you; (b) request correction of inaccurate, out-of-date, or incomplete information; (c) opt out of direct marketing communications; (d) make a complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@passpilot.com.au. We will respond within 30 days.
