The 60-second scorecard: how to read your PassPilot result

Every PassPilot mock gives you a scorecard in under 60 seconds. Here's how to read it — and what to do next.

The scorecard has four sections. Each one tells you something different.

Overall band / score

This is the headline number. It's the average of your section scores, scaled to the official exam's range. Don't fixate on it — what matters is the next three sections.

Section breakdown

Shows your score per section. Look for the lowest one — that's your biggest opportunity for improvement.

Criterion-level feedback

For subjective sections (writing, speaking), this shows how you performed on each rubric criterion — task response, coherence, lexical resource, grammar. Each criterion has a specific gap to close.

Question-by-question

Every question, your answer, the correct answer, and the explanation. This is where the real learning happens. Spend 20 minutes per wrong answer.

What to do next

Pick the lowest section. Take 2 more focused section tests (not full mocks). Take another full mock 3 days later. Repeat.
